Kota on stage at Amplyfi
AMPLYFi's owner, Kota Wade, is a 20 year old award winning singer, songwriter, pianist, guitarist, and dancer. Kota can also be seen rocking the Amplyfi stage with her band "Bad Wolf".
At just 16, Kota was the lead singer of an all girl band that was signed to a production deal. As the band progressed, she got more and more passionate about piano and keyboard, and spent the next few years working on her craft and has composed many songs on the piano because of her love for it.
Though she loves being in the studio and behind the keys, Kota is most comfortable on stage with a mic in her hand and a rockin' band behind her!
In January 2011, she opened up her own venue, Amplyfi, to have a stage to perform on any time she wanted, and so she could network with bands and make a career out of her passion for music. Since Kota has been on the musician side of the business, she's the perfect mix of artist and business sense, which is why bands love working with Amplyfi.
Kota won First Place in the AMERICAN IDOL UNDERGROUND songwriting competition, was the youngest winner in all the genres and was named in AMERICAN IDOL magazine as one of the A.I. UNDERGROUND'S "BEST EMERGING ARTISTS".
Kota was recently featured in LA Weekly's annual "Best of LA: People" issue for 2012, also making one of five front covers, along with American Idol Adam Lambert, actress Carrie Fisher, LA Dodger Matt Kemp, and Jonny Coffin of Coffin guitar cases.
Kota has recorded with many top writer/producers including Danielle Brisebois (Natasha Bedingfield's "Unwritten", "Pocketful of Sunshine"), Wayne Wilkins (Jordin Sparks, Pink), and Steve Solukowski (Selena Gomez, 16 Frames).
Kota just signed a contract for an exciting new project with J.C. Chasez of 'N Sync and Jimmy Harry, Golden Globe winning/Grammy nominated writer/producer.
In October 2012 Amplyfi was named "BEST ALL AGES VENUE IN L.A." in L.A. Weekly's annual "Best Of L.A. 2012."
